Thermosaver TSR5 hypothermia and rescue bag

The Thermosaver TSR5 is a hypothermic rescue bag designed to protect patients from further loss of body temperature during rescue, treatment, and transport. It is developed for professional emergency services, military units, and search and rescue teams operating in cold, wet, and demanding environments where rapid and effective patient management is critical.

The multi-layer construction combines a water- and wind-resistant outer shell with a high-performance insulating layer and an inner stabilizing structure. Closest to the patient, an advanced vapour barrier absorbs fluids while supporting the body’s natural ability to restore temperature. This contributes to improved patient comfort and helps maintain thermal stability during prolonged operations.

The TSR5 is designed for intuitive and efficient use in the field. Secure Velcro closures ensure reliable wrapping of patients of different body sizes, while the burrito-style wrapping method enables fast and controlled patient handling. An integrated insulating hood provides additional protection and can be used separately when required.

Nine carrying handles enable safe lifting and evacuation in challenging terrain. A dedicated torso access opening allows examination and treatment without exposing the patient to unnecessary heat loss. Foot fixation straps improve positioning during transport, and a head-end pocket allows storage of instructions and patient documentation. The bag is vacuum packed for compact storage, has a 5-year shelf life, and can be reused following established processing procedures. Made from recyclable polyester, the TSR5 supports sustainable operational practices.
