The Ferno CORTEX Self-Loading Stretcher is engineered to provide safe, ergonomic, and efficient patient handling in demanding prehospital and transport environments. The Easy-Load™ system eliminates the need for manual levers during loading and unloading, significantly reducing physical strain on rescue personnel while improving safety for both operator and patient. The integrated anti-fall safety system ensures stable handling even in confined spaces or on uneven ground.
Featuring five adjustable height levels, the CORTEX allows paramedics to always work at the optimal ergonomic height. Its lightweight yet strong aluminum alloy frame combines durability with easy maneuverability, while the large 150 mm wheels with integrated brake and directional lock offer smooth transport over a wide range of surfaces. The adjustable backrest can be set up to 80°, supporting both Contour and Trendelenburg positions for improved patient comfort and clinical flexibility.
The CORTEX includes fold-down side rails, a shock-absorbing frame with contour design, and compatibility with PacRac+ instrument mounts and ScoopEXL extensions.
