Hypothermia

Ready Heat II Active Hypothermia Blanket

Ready Heat II is an active hypothermia blanket designed for effective prevention and treatment of hypothermia in both prehospital and clinical environments. The blanket delivers controlled heat directly to the patient and can accompany the casualty throughout the entire treatment chain – from the scene of the incident to the hospital – without requiring an external power source.

The blanket is made from a lightweight, water-repellent non-woven material with low fiber shedding, making it suitable for demanding rescue environments. Each blanket is individually vacuum packed, and the heating process starts automatically when the packaging is opened. Working temperature is typically reached within 3–15 minutes.

Ready Heat II provides a stable heat output of approximately 38–40 °C for up to 8 hours while remaining compact and space-efficient. If necessary, the blanket can be adapted or cut to allow better patient access in situations where the casualty is trapped or difficult to reach.

The product is widely used by ambulance services, rescue organizations, maritime and mountain rescue teams, as well as volunteer emergency response units.
