Patient Handling
Patient handling is often described as activities involving force to lift, lower, push, pull, transfer, or support a patient or body part. This includes the use of stretchers, transport chairs, transfer mattresses, slide sheets, as well as equipment to secure the patient in such situations like patient restraints and child safety devices (Kangoofix).
